As some of you may know or may have had the fortune of participating, I occasionally make games that the whole community may play. During the Christmas season I had done treasure hunts where only one player was able to win the grand prize. Well in MarioDig, everyone had a chance to win.
I created a box in the ground, then filled it in random places and layers with mineral ores. Players were able to win lapis lazuli, diamond, gold, iron, and coal. Then I filled all the air spaces with smoothstone thus creating the digging area.
So, I've (mostly) successfully migrated the website to the secondary server. I can't imagine that migrating the old map to the secondary server will be anywhere near as technically challenging.
Once that's complete, I'll be updating the primary server to Ubuntu Server, and installing dflemstr's server on it as is. When it is ready for building, you will be able to log on directly to the new map using the akintudne.dyndns.org URL. The migrations should happen on Thursday, with build rights following very shortly.
So, we're in the process of tranferring from the no-longer-supported hMod (AKA hey0's mod) to Bukkit. We're using a pre-release version compiled by dflemstr. Expect a lot of expermentation over the next few days as we try to restore order to the fractured world.
